The weekend action at the Northern Territory PGA Championship - presented by Cazalys Palmerston; continues with Anthony Quayle and Kevin Marques (and a whole bunch of local caddies) flying the flag for the Territory after the halfway cut was made at even par.
Quayle is best placed at two-under after shooting 69 on Friday while Marques rallied on Friday to also shoot two-under 69 to make the cut on the number at even par.
Local Darwin professionals Kevin Watts (+9) and Tony Albon (+10) stepped out of their pro shops at Darwin and Palmerston respectively to trade blows with the ISPS HANDA PGA Tour of Australiasia professionals and accounted for themselves creditably.
Albon was paired with co-leader Frazer Droop over the opening two days and had a front row seat to Droop's course record round of 63 on Friday, which included a hole-in-one at the 7th.
It was a tough couple of days at the office for amateur Alex Brennan (pic) but he'll no doubt savour the experience of being involved in an event of this stature at home.
Third round action commences at Palmerston from 8.50am with the leaders heading out at 10..30am.
